A dangerous version of Mumbai

Anushka Manchanda, recently seen in Khatron ke Khiladi Level 2 tells us about her favourite travel destination.

1. What's your favorite holiday destination?
I love the comfort and the closeness of Goa and the madness of New York city.

2. When was the last you went there? Was it for business or pleasure?
I haven't had time this entire year to go to Goa, but I was in New York on work in March. I ended up having a blast.

3. What do you love about the place?
I love the breakneck pace of the city, the food, the partying, the music and the shopping.

4. Can you tell us something about the locals, the cuisine and local culture?
New York is like a cleaner, more dangerous version of Mumbai. It's a melting pot and the local culture reflects that.

5. Did you bring back any memento?
If lot of shopping can be counted as mementos, then yes. Many!

6. Can you recount any funny episode from the trip that makes it memorable?
I remember the first time I went there, and had to learn how to use the subway. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life! No wait! I just did fear factor ;)

7. Which places would you recommend our readers to see if they go to that place?
Broadway, Broadway, Broadway! 8. When are you going back? I'm going back in October. I've met some fantastic musicians there and we may do some work together.

8. What's the next destination on your travel map?
I want to go to Portugal next.
